Resume Distribution Posting and Blasting

by carlos 6. September 2007

I have written about this before, but I feel it is important and bears repeating.

Your job search is important. There is a lot riding on how successful you are in finding the right job with the right pay and the right environment for you to prosper in.

The basics are simple:
A. An Outstanding Seriously Effective Resume
B. A Distribution Strategy that gets the Resume seen.
C. Sharp Interview skills .

Executing them is a different story.

Today lets look at Step B above.

Alright, so you've decided to get a new job. You've taken step one and written a Killer Resume that really sells you, a Resume that, without a doubt reaches out and grabs the attention of the reader and compels them to pick up the phone and beg you to come in for an interview.

Now Step B, what is the best way to get that resume into the hands of employers you would accept interview invitations from?

An Effective Resume Distribution plan is essential to your job search success .

You have basically three well known channels for distribution:

A. Your Network: Family and Friends that know of positions available.

B. The Newspaper: A Dying vehicle used less and less every year but still a good source of job leads.

C. The Internet: The most effective yet most likely to confuse source of Job openings in the world.

It has been said that the job search arena really is a jungle. And so some guerrilla strategies are definitely in order.

The two most powerful "guerrilla" methods are:

1. Resume Posting
2. Resume Blasting (Direct Hit Targeted Distribution)

Professional Resume Posting gets your Resume posted to the biggest most important sites in a matter of minutes. (doing it yourself usually takes 100 hours plus !)  Sure, that's what I want to do with my Saturday!

Resume Blasting or as I prefer to call it "targeted distribution" is powerful.

This Targeted Distribution utilizes State of the Art technology to scour the Internet. The result is that you find jobs you are actually interested in, that match your skills and abilities. This ervice then actually sends your resume directly to the Recruiters, HR Managers and Hiring
Agents responsible for filling the positions.

You don't lift a finger!

When making your Resume Distribution Plans do not, I repeat do not overlook these two powerful under used job search tools.

Good Luck !
